Well, it's been a while since I've done some blogging. A lot has happened in the 9 months since I've written anything, but we're starting the blog up all over again.
Today's big news is that we're expecting, and this week we found out that it's a little girl. Here's the first of many belly shots at week 18:
We met in May 2006 on My Space and were married on December 6, 2008. We thought this would be a perfect way to for our wonderful family and friends to get a little peak into our world since it is so hard to keep up with everyone!
Patrick was born in Houston, Texas on May 3, 1977 to Erwin and Rita Kainer. Patrick and his family moved to Spring, Texas in 1988, where he attended Klein High School. Patrick graduated from Texas A&M in May 2000 with a degree in Wildlife and Fisheries Sciences, which he actually kind of gets to use today. Patrick started his working career as an intern with Travis County immediately following his graduation and then journeyed into the world of environmental consulting and that is where he is today. In 2003, Patrick's world was turned upside down when his father, Erwin, was diagnosed with lung cancer. Erwin fought hard, but eventually lost his battle with cancer on May 6, 2005. During the early months of 2006, a young lady named Kimberly Echols was waiting for him at the entrance of the Fox and Hound bar in Austin, Texas. She turned his world right back up and they have been an extremely happy couple since then!!
A Little Bit About Kim
Kim was born and raised in Dallas, Texas, and then headed to College Station in 1999 to pursue a degree in Finance. After so many wonderful experiences during school such as spending a summer studying abroad in Italy, having a great internship in Austin, and spending a winter break in London, Kim graduated in 2003 from Texas A&M with a degree in finance. After graduation, Kim spent two months traveling around Europe and emptying her bank account before starting work for a Fortune 100 company in Austin, TX. About 3 years after Kim moved to Austin, she met Patrick, and the rest is history.
